The Guidelines for the monitoring of saproxylic beetles protected in Europe (Nature Conservation special issue n.20 of 2017) and the Laymans’ Report are now available for download from lifemipp.eu (here all publications are available for download).
The special issue of Nature Conservation contains eight scientific articles by the MIPP project staff: these papers are the results of the work carried out during the project. They cover the following topics: guidelines for the monitoring of Lucanus cervus, Osmoderma eremita, Cerambyx cerdo, Rosalia alpina e Morimus asper funereus, analysis of citizen science data, training of Osmodog.
The books have been published with the contribution of the LIFE financial instrument of the European Union.
Published: Monitoring of saproxylic beetles and other insects protected in the European Union
A collection of thirteen research papers has
been published in the journal Nature Conservation addressing the protection of
protected saproxylic beetles and other insects listed in the Habitats
Directive. The research had been originally presented during European Workshop
held in Mantova (24th - 26th May 2017), organised by the project MIPP. The
articles of the Special Issue can be downloaded free of charge here: https://natureconservation.pensoft.net/issue/995/
Giovedì 24 agosto: Il progetto Life MIPP al Parco dello Stelvio
In collaborazione con il Raggruppamento Carabinieri Parchi – Reparto P.N. “Stelvio” e con il Parco Nazionale dello Stelvio, i ricercatori del progetto MIPP terranno una breve conferenza dal titolo: I PICCOLI ABITANTI DELLE FORESTE… E NON SOLO. Si parlerà di 9 insetti rari e protetti, di metodi di monitoraggio e di Citizen Science. L'occasione permetterà anche una panoramica sui risultati del progetto.
Appuntamento giovedì 24 agosto alle ore 21:00 presso il Centro Visitatori di S. Antonio Valfurva, piazza Forba 4.
